Artist Statement

I am an artist, printmaker, bookbinder, and professional illustrator.

My work draws inspiration from illustrated natural histories, playing cards, and old theater bulletins. I explore the “in-between” in my work, reflecting on present-day nostalgia and the passage of time, while engaging with universal symbols and archetypes that connect us to the natural world.

I operate a small bookbinding and print initiative called “Lonicera Press” (its namesake is taken from the honeysuckle plant species).

I teach “Drawing Essentials” at the Art Lab, at Snug Harbor Cultural Center.

I am currently working on a series of prints and illustrated cards inspired by animals and nature.
